Apart from the convenience above, many users are uncomfortable in the situation where they can’t sign out Google Maps and especially its tracking location history. In this article, you can find out the solution and don’t have any problem using Google Maps.

How to stop tracking location history on Google Maps?

There is a fact that when “location history” is turned off, Google still tracks your location when you only use some of its key services including Maps, search, and the weather.

According to a report from the Associated Press, the location history feature is just one of the systems that Google uses to track location for local search, personalized services, and other purposes.

In the situation that you turn off location history, automatically Google stops recording your location for features such as the Maps timeline. However, some location data may be saved as your activity on other Google services, like Search and Maps.
